What is making all this racket?

Hi...

Over the past few nights something has been making very loud noises in the
woods behind my northeastern Texas house, mostly while I'm trying to sleep!
And it goes on for hours.

I'm assuming it's a bird, but one I've never heard before.

I have posted a brief mp3 recording here:
