Has anyone heard of a "false" windows security update threat, which acts like
windows update automatically running in the background with tray icon,
downloads malware, trojan, etc. ?

There are many sites such as this which pretend to be something they are not.
Generally these sites goad to download Rogue anti-spyware software.
