What is hpoevm07.exe and why is it hanging?

Perhaps related to Zylo's question of 9/5/03 posted to this
Newsgroup, re: CPU usage at 100%, I would like to know if a
certain program, hpoevm07.exe, is the cause of my pc
booting extremely slowly and then not stopping on its own
when I shut down. Anyone know what this program does? Is
it related to the HP PSC 750xi multifunction device I use
for printing scanning and copying? It does not appear on
any HP tech support search. Is it a MS exe?

Google returns 112 hits on hpoevm07.exe - one of them
might address your problem.

I would probably rename the file and see
- if this solves the current problems, and
- what side effects result (esp. with respect to your multi-function
device).

hpoevm07.exe = HP OfficeJet COM Event Manager
