What is "HKEY"??

I really don't know much about the registry, but every time I go in to it to
fix something, I can't help but wonder what HKEY is. What does it stand
for?

This is usually known as a Hot Key, for opening programs you use often.
You can initiate it when you right click your desktop program Icon, and properties,
Click the Shortcut Key box, to move your cursor there,
Then you can select any letter or Fkey in place of None.
