What is going to happen to Trillian?

Microsoft keeps sending me the following message while I conncet with
Trillian .74:

..NET Messenger Service Staff: You are running a version of messenger
that requires an immediate security update. Please visit
http://messenger.msn.com/Help/Upgrades.aspx to complete the update.

I could not find any official information from the company, which is
why I asked here. There are some resourceful people in this group.

I have not seen any official post from the company. Anyways, I
switched to Miranda since it is a great program. This is a
resourceful group when it comes to finding free software and
information about it.

There may be a solution. I found this on the Trillian community
forum:

I copied the dll file and reloaded Trillian and didn't get the MSN
message. I believe I got the message every time I connected before.
Time will tell...

If you are using Trillian 1.0, go to the website and get the Trillian
2.0 Beta. It should fix your problem. DO NOT install this .dll to
1.0!
..74 users: Close Trillian, get the file, put it in the Trillian
folder (replace the one that's there), start Trillian."
