Last Wednesday I was in games, and I got zapped by about
5 or 6 pop ups, and ever since, I keep getting illegal
operations and my computer keeps locking up. Can't you do
something about these pop ups? They are ruining people's
computers. I know you're in this to make money, but
there's got to be a better way, than all these stupid pop
ups.......

Who do you think is causing these popups? Microsoft?
Maybe your computer company? HP/compaq? Dell? Maybe
eMachines? NO.
Is Ford Motor Company causing traffic problems during
rush hour? NO

When you browse the web normally, you are running programs that people have
put onto their websites. These programs can do anything they want to the
computer - like installing virus', trojans, spyware etc.

Simple solution is to turn off ActiveX and scripting (this will stop any
more programs from running and installing - but it wont necessarily stop the
damage that has been done.) But then you would not be able to use a whole
bunch of websites. You gotta choose what you want to do and how much you are
willing to put up with.

You can try using system restore to get back to a state where things were
working.
