When I go on my computer to CNN.com and click on a video it says that I may have a Flash Blocking Device.

What could that be?

I looked in My Programs folder and see nothing that has the word "flash" in it.

It's something the USoAmerican broadcasting stations like CNN are
using for the Nipple-Freakout-Crowd over there. You know, after
the Janet Jackson incident.

Your Internet Explorer security settings are blocking the scripts that enable playing Flash content in the browser. You also might not even have the Flash player installed. None of it will show up in your Programs folder, it's a browser add-on.

Go here to see if you have Adobe Flash Player installed for your browser:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

If it is installed, you will see the logo and animation under the Flash Player
heading, and clicking About will show the version installed.

Flash Player available here:

I found out that I have the flash player installed but it works only in IE,
not Firefox. Too bad, since I prefer the latter

Why not download and install one for Firefox?
