What is Drag/Drop Link

I noticed I could drag a filename from windowsexplorer onto a richtextbox
and drop it as a Link and the result is a link on the box that open the file
if I click it.

Is that the whole story.

Are links only for opening files into their app?

I also wonder why the effect All includes Scroll, Copy, and Move but does
not include Link?

I could not duplicate. I created a new form with a RichTextBox and left
everything default. I then opened a WindowsExplorer and dragged with a Left
click an RTF file to the RichTextBox. All I saw was a circle with a Slash
through it. It never changed or gave me any opportunity to drop it.

What did you do that I did not. This sounds like an interesting feature.
