What is "Boot to PXE"?

An upgrade to my BIOS fixes " will not boot to PXE when 3rd party 256
MB AGP card is present". What is "boot to PXE" ? I do want to use a
3rd party 256MB AGP card, Asylum GeForece FX 5200 256 MB DDR.
I have no plans to network this machine. Need I worry about fixing
this boot to PXE problem?
 
Boot to PXE is a network boot. There is boot code in the network card that
will get the needed files from a network server. For example, this would be
needed for a diskless workstation, but may be used for other computers as
well.

What about the other bios updates, prior to the most recent?
Previously I mentioned not updating the bios unless there's a problem
needing resolved, but on the other hand, I also suggest NOT running a
board with an early bios revision, at least the 3rd released... since
yours is #6 (IIRC), you may not have any significant problems, but
then again I'm surprised that it took so many bios revisions to
address an issue with 256MB video cards... they're not THAT uncommon
these days. Considering that the system is new, no OS or
configurations made yet, I reconsider what I wrote previously, I'd go
ahead and update the bios, next enter bios and load the defaults, THEN
set up the system.
 
Thanks. I'm not considering booting over a network, so I think I'll
leave it for now, but I'll look for trouble with the 256MB AGP card.
