what is best format for audio....

i am trying to get a movie with songs on it...i am
converting them to wav...but what happens is that the
songs continues to play but no more slide show...does the
audio song have to be a specific bit rate...or
something...any tips on getting this to work would be
great...
 
I may be wrong, but I think you can change the time that
each slide is displayed so that the actual slide show and
transitions etc are in sinc with the musical clip(s, thus
the music and slide show end at the same time.
