(OCX) An Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) custom control allowing
infinite extension of the Microsoft Access control set. OCX is similar in
purpose to VBX used in Visual Basic. Available OCX's include "Scroll Bar
Control", "Calendar Control", and "Data Outline Control".
I believe what Omega meant was when it is in your system or registry it is
hard to root out. She, Omega, the "Mistress of the Mysterious Windows
Registry" would offer the complete explanation. If she so chose too.
omega said:I will probably save up for future going into an extended complaint about
how OCX's behave in the registry. Feeling lazy right now. And too, I'm in
some doubt whether ProteanThread / rtdos reads any answers to the questions
he poses...

Thank you, Dszady. I was somewhat amused/flattered to see the phrase given
its very own thread, and was tempted to leave it in the mystery state.
But, it is helpful that you explained what it was about. You're welcome.

You have an understanding of it that deserves the title. ('til I think
of a better one)
BTW, I was going for the "ACF Mean Bastard Post of the Day Award"
It just felt so good. I really hope I get it.
I don't think that that certain person reads anything. JMO
So you have a mistress and the best I can come up with is a chat buddyaway more than anyone else does. That's why I think you are "The Mistress
of the Windows Registry". You have an understanding of it that deserves
the title. ('til I think of a better one)

So you have a mistress and the best I can come up with is a chat buddy
and now you wanna win my award - you guys in Maine are really cruel!

Ah, you flatter me too much! (Stop, oh stop, ah, don't stop..) Or, is
this just a prelude to get me to deck out in full Mistress attire? I do
have some long, sleek gloves to try out...
(A true item is that the reg is continuously in my attention. I've got
registry logs going continuously. With all the software I install,
my registry would otherwise end 500 x the size, unwieldy and hard to
read. In a big mess, where I'd be likely needing to reinstall the OS
and rebuild my prefs all the time.)

Okay, I'll root for you. But, hey, tell you the truth, that award is
actually pretty Offensive. Since it is totally Sexist. What if the
most qualified winner is a Bitch, and not a Bastard? See? The award
bars women from even competing? That is wrong, and immoral, and maybe
even illegal. Methinks it is time to summon the landsharks, and strike
back with a good lawsuit.

He seems to exhibit ADD/ADHD, amongst other [_ _ D] things...
