What is an ntbackup fdd file? Can it be deleted?

I am sorry for a crosspost, but the other group wasn't too active.
Anyway, I have several larger, but apparently older *.fdd, *.v01, and
*.sm file in my ntbackup folder. Can they be deleted? Thanks.
 
You did'nt cross post you multi posted, theres a difference
I dont use ntbackup so I cannot answer your Q
