I got this brand new P4P800 Deluxe and I am still learning it.
One of the options in the BIOS is to enable ACPI 2.0 (disabled by
default).

I know in general what ACPI is. But what is ACPI 2.0? How is it
different from ACPI 1.x?

Should I enable it?
If the answer is positive, why is it disabled by default?

BTW, I am going to install dual boot Windows 2000 and RedHat 9 on it.
No way I getting close to Windows XP... Does this affect the answer to
the question of whether to enable it?

Thanks,
Sam

DJ, thank for your reply. I read the presentation to which you pointed
me and I also read the overview here:
http://www.acpi.info/presentations/ACPI_Overview.pdf but for the life
of me I still have no idea whether to enable this option in the BIOS
or leave it disabled (the way it was shipped to me).

So, should I enable ACPI 2.0 support in the P4P800 BIOS or not?

Thanks,
Sam
