what is a z-oder

I am building my web site and a have problems and questions. My main problem
is that I don't know how edit the web site that a friend of my gave me. my
friend when to see the soccer world cup and I have not talk to him. To me is
a easy fix but I don't find the way. Can someone help me please?

Could he mean "z-order", as in placing items behind one another using
absolute positioning?

He could mean that. But, he's asking what it means, and hasn't even
referred to it in the body of his post. ;-)
 
Or A-Z order, as in alphabetical order. The subject doesn't seem to have
anything to do with the body of the message.
