hi i use xp what does it mean by 32 bit/64 bit how do i know what mine is



i have a laptop satellite pro 100 comp


what is the last xp os called and what is the vista basic called i did
down load a 64 bit xp but when it cum to puttingit on my laptop it says it
cant b installed what does this mean

Exactly what it says - your laptop has a 32-bit processor, so you can't
install a 64-bit operating system on it.

The message means that you cannot install a 64bit operating system on a
computer with a 32bit cpu.

If you google on "32 bit versus 64 bit" you will get a ton of articles to

You find out what your computer is by looking it up on the Toshiba website.
I cannot find any references on the Toshiba website for a Satellite Pro 100.
The lowest model number for Satellite Pro is the 400 CDT and 400CS. Check
your model number and look it up on
