I have two windows installations on my computer. One is
not working and it's because of a registry problem. So,
if I change those registry files using the other windows
installation, would I just make a mess with both of them,
or would I be able to fix the corrupted installation? I
have this question because I am not sure if both
installations are using the same registry or there are
two separate ones...!
Thanx

They use different Registries. If you can get into the Windows Folder
of the non working OS, go to Windows\System32\
Config. Folder. Delete the Registry Files: System, Default, Sam,
Software and Security. Then go into Windows\Repair
Folder and copy the five files there and paste them into the Config
Folder that you were just in. That will probably get
you going.
