Hi.

I want to record telephone conversations on my own line here in the
UK. I also want the pc to be an answerphone / menu system. You know,
if it's after a certain time then get a menu, (press 1 for this, two
for that) or the rest of the time just be a message recorder.

So, what hardware do I need. A lightweight PC, onboard graphics,
quiet, large hard drive for storeage. But what type of telephone
connection hardware?

I did say I'm in the UK didn't I. And I'm not interested in a
discussion on the legality, morality or otherwise. :)

Thanks.

You could probably use a telephone modem, then google
for free software.
