Twice in 2 weeks I've tried to post to this group and my post doesn't
appear,
although subsequent test posts DO appear. The post shows up in my
Sent Items Folder but does not show up in the group. Any Ideas????
I don't even know if this will post.

I'm using Outlook Express 6. I scan my system for viruses once a week.
After posting I sort by the From column first to find my post. The Test
posts are there
but the post in question isn't. Besides The newsreader isn't the problem
with
'double scrolling' it's IE6.

Thanks,
James

should sort posts by date. recent ones at top.

I only sort by From to find my posts!!!!!!!!!!

Try pressing Alt-V,V,G first.

The problem may be that you are posting with a previously used Subject.
If you are also using the View Group Messages by Conversation
(Alt-V,V,G) then that Subject will be sorted according to the name of the
oldest poster who used it. If in addition you have unchecked the Read option
Automatically expand grouped messages (Alt-T,O,Ctrl-Tab,x)
you wouldn't even be able to find your post under that discussion with
a simple F3 find. You probably would be able to find it with a Ctrl-Shift-F
find because that window typically does not use the Group Messages by
Conversation setting by default.

Another way to find discussions which you have contributed to
is to press Ctrl-h (to set Show Replies to my Messages.)
If you do that I expect you will see these threads:

<examples>
Subject: Scrolling Problem
Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2003 21:55:24 -0800
From: "Curt"

Subject: Double Scrolling
Date: Fri, 12 Dec 2003 08:34:25 -0800
From: "Sonney"
</examples>

Expand each of those and you should see your repeat use
of them.
