What happened to the good old generic drivers???

i mean the drivers that you could use temporarily (untill you can find the
one that windows likes). Or is there not such a thing?

I remeber back in the days, (windows 3.11 & workgroup) I dont think i need
extra drivers like you do now!

MS should have more default drivers in the retail release. Until then, it's
up to the manufacturers to come up with them.

Vista does include the generic VGA driver, and installs it when installing
Vista. Just delete your current driver and other display software, and the
VGA driver will take over.
