I now have my recently purchased McAfee Internet Security Suite 2005 Version
7.0 installed and up and running.
I just now went into [what's left of] my Norton SystemWorks 2003
Professional Edition (no Norton Internet Security, no Norton Anti-Virus). I
see now on the home screen, this message:
"The One Button Checkup feature is not available because SystemWorks 2003
has expired, or you have chosen not to evaluate this product."
What gives?? Did McAfee do this? And what is now crippled, just the One
Button Checkup feature or the entire SystemWorks? And if SystemWorks is now
indeed crippled, what do I do now? Do I uninstall and reinstall SystemWorks
2003? Or will McAfee cripple it? Do I uninstall SystemWorks 2003 and buy and
install SystemWorks 2005? Or will McAfee cripple it? (assuming it was indeed
McAfee that did it)
Are McAfee and Norton, or are they not, meant to co-exist on the same PC? I
know at the beginning of the McAfee ISS installation, it did do a search for
previous versions and old obsolete incompatible anti-viruses, firewalls, &c.
Would really appreciate replies on this one!!
Thank you.
