What happended to Producer for Powerpoint?

I had the beta version of Producer which has stopped working. Will Microsoft
be releasing the licensend version soon?

You know more than I do if you've been using the beta version. All I know is
it exists. :-)

On Connect (connect.microsoft.com), I see the latest beta build is from
February 26, 2009 -- it's build 3004. Which build do you have? If it's not
that one, try downloading it from http://connect.microsoft.com

Someone asked about a release date as early as July 1, so I suspect the
release date has not been announced yet.

Thanks for responding. I have the build 3004 version. When I try to open
it, an alert pops up and states this version no longer available, please
download a licensed verison of Producer.

Just heard back.

You should download Producer again from Connect to get the updated beta
version. Seems that release of Producer is pretty much final, and it will be
good through December 2010. (I know the download page still says build 3004,
but I'd still go ahead and download it again -- that should stop the
"expired" message.)

I'm being told that this version of Producer is basically finished and no
additional changes are planned to that latest build, it's just that the team
is heads down on Office 14, which takes priority.
