Just curious as i read threads about peoples graphics cards. I have a Geforce FX 5900. I bought it in Bangkok. It cost me about 10000baht. Around 140 quid. So whats yours and what did you pay. Personally i'm very happy with mine..

X850XT - came with my PC (ashamedly it is an off the shelf system, simply because it was cheaper). Before that I had a 9800 and that fulfilled all my needs, as HL2 etc... ran fine on it!

i have a 9600SE, i know its pants, i got it last year and it cost about £60-70

i currently have a gfx card sooo old i have no idea what it is called hehe :)

but when i start my computer build ... i think i will save up that little bit more and get a 6800gt :D

I have a 6600GT that I had to buy in an emergency when my old card blew up.....£150 high street price, online they were about £120 at the time. Ah well :)

2 x 9800Pro's, £130 & £120.00 at the time
FX5700LE, about £60.00
FX5600 256Mb VIVO, around £50.00

Won't be upgrading until I upgrade whole system, and will probably go for 6800GT/sli board.

XFX 6600 256Mb with Passive Cooling. £85. I wasn't expecting much of it, but it flies (relatively speaking)!

Matrox G400 circa 1999 :D

When I upgraded my computer this was the only thing that was carried forward. As they say if it ain't broke don't fix it. It is still giving good service, we do not use the rig for playing any games.

Majority of you reading this must be laughing at my disclosure :)

Certainly not the G400 Matrox is still a decent card if you don't play any games.....:thumb:

crazylegs,

You make me really happy with that comment. :) For $199 it was the top dog in 1999.

First decent card I had was a Matrox, then another Matrox, then a Voodoo 1 then a Voodoo 3.

I kinda lost track after that. Matrox make fine cards, quality cards, and if it's doing it's job admirably, why change it?

When I upgraded my rig a couple of years back I did consider a new vga but after reading up on it I realised I already had a great 2D card in Matrox. My son by that time had switched to xbox so 100% of our desktop usage was 2D, so, shelved the idea of getting anything. Matrox was always king of 2D and none could compete in that segment.
