I just bought a 120 Gig hard drive and I used XP setup to
partition the hard drive so that there are now 4
partitions: 20 gigs for Windows XP, Program Files and
Games; 10 gigs for Windows 98 SE; 10 gigs for Linux;and
one remaining gigantic partition for data. The problem I
am having is this. I formatted XP's partition using that
NTFS Format. None of the other three partitions which
appear as drive letters in My Computer in XP are
formatted yet. I can't figure out what format(s)to use
on the three remaining partitions. The Linux partition
will probably be formatted in Linux unique format
(whatever that is) but should should I format the
partition for Windows 98 SE with plain old DOS format or
use Fat 32. And what about the gigantic data partition.
Should that be formatted in NTFS since XP is my main
contributor or should that partition be plain DOS format
so that Windows 98 SE can process that partition? Any
help would be appreciated.

There are different approaches to this but I would do like this
Create the partitions with Fat 32 for both XP and Windows 98. (If you want to have access between both OS:es
Then I would buy Boot Magic and use that or you can perhaps use the LiLo (Linux Loader) to start up the (win 98 or Win XP
Installation order: 1. Win98, 2. Windows XP, 3. Linux
I used to have 3 OS on my disk, W2000 and XP and Red Hat Linux and used this approach, but for me that was easier since I used NTFS for both (NTFS is more stable)
I hope this will point in the right direction for you!
