I am converting a number of large payroll reports and am having trouble
aligning column headings. I am looking for a font where the 'i" and 'm' ar
of equal size. many of the reports were prepared on printers with a 16.5
font size and printed 132 columns across. Many of the column headings use
passed variables

The "i" and "m" aren't going to be equal sized, but a fixed font will leave
extra space around the "i" to line things up. To find a list of fixed-width
fonts, open Outlook Express and go to Tools|Options|Read tab. Click the
Fonts button near the bottom. You will see 4 combo boxes in the resulting
dialog box. One of these allows you to pick the fixed-width font you want OE
to use. Open the combo box for a list of these fonts.

Thank you, I switched to courier new and changed the grid size to 14,
alignment was easier.

Now, is there a way to set the courier as the default printer font ??

Thanx again
