Hi
I am trying to set up x-lite Voip phone on my daughters computer. I am
tryng to do this over the phone, with her in another country.
I know from installing it on my own computer that if it is installed
with Firewalls operational it will not successfully make a call.
I have disabled Norton from the system tray and "Stopped" it via
Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services.
When I go into Microsoft Security Centre and Switch Windows Firewall
off - Firewall is still on in the main Security Centre Window.
I have also "Stopped" Microsoft Security Centre via Control Panel /
Administrative Tools / Services.
Unfortunately when I then install X-Lite calls still fail (I have
confirmed correct account numbers, Voip provider and password).
How can I (with certainty) check and identify what firewall(s) are
still switched on. Checking "Task Manager" and "Administrative Tools /
Services" is a bit 'hit and miss'.
Thanks Colin
