What does this error code mean? BCCode : 1000008e My PC generated this error code after 'recovering' from a serious error.
BCCode:1000008e

BCP2:bf8367f0

BCP4:00000000
win 32k.sys adress bf8367f0 base at bf 800000 datestamp 43446a58

before this error (a few days ago) i had another two errors:
BCCode:100000d1
BCP1:00000002
BCP2:00000002
BCP3: 00000008
BCP4:00000002

and:
BCCode:100000d1
BCP1:d5847fcc
BCP2:00000002
BCP3: 00000001
BCP4:8407d00a




OS: XP SP2
 
If you don't see any error messages, right click on My Computer, select Properties and then the Advanced tab.

Click on Settings under Startup and Recovery and disable 'Automatically restart'.

Next time you get this error & your PC reboots, you should see a Blue Screen of Death.


Could you please post the Stop Code from the BSOD?

This is nearly always hardware compatibility issues, which sometimes means a driver issue or a need for a BIOS upgrade.


Also try a memory checker such as memtest86
