Just curious. In my PC I have a bunch of 'Thumbs.db' file, which is
occupying
a large amount of space. Size of this file varies from 3kb to 834kb. What
does
this file do? Should I delete them to free up some space?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Here's some info on the thumbs.db files:
http://www.greece.k12.ny.us/taylor/tips/thumbs_db.htm

They are not taking up " a large amount of space," they are taking up a
*tiny* amount of space. 834kb may sound like aq big number, but it's not.
Even if the were*all* 834KB, 834KB is well under half a penny's worth of
disk space.

I have 52 of them on my system. The total value of the disk space they use
is under $.25, and not worth worrying about in my view.

It contains the thumbnail views of graphics. You can delete them and they
will be regenerated when you view thumbnails again.

Thank you all for the information. Since I am from the old days, any file bigger than a kilobyte seems like a 'big' file. Thanks
again.
