A progressbar is displayed while downloading a web page, and a number(xx%)
will be displsyed with it.

Is there somebody know what does the number mean? What is the policy for IE
to display the progress bar and the number?

Hi,

In general, the bar is supposed to indicate the progress
of your download. The percentage sign reflects the
percentage value of what you have downloaded over the size
of the file you are trying to download (The percentage value
you have downloaded).

Thus, if the bar is half way it's length, and the
percentage is (50%), that means you have downloaded half of
the file.

Regards,

Altrus
