I am using Outlook 2003. My harddrive went bad and had to be replaced.
Before it was replaced, I selected my contacts file and used import/export
and saved it as a .pst file on a CD and it is labeled
"contactsbackup.pst".
I had to reinstall Office Professional 2003 on the new hard drive and so I
am
starting all over with Outlook and nothing is in it. When I try to import
"contactsbackup.pst", I get this message and it will not import it.

The possibilities are endless.
I would suggest you provide enough information to permit us to hazard a
guess, including:
1. Outlook version
2. How this PST file was created, copied, and transported
3. Why you would be importing a native Outlook file instead of simply
opening it
