Ok, so when i installed my pc in my new case, all was well. :)

On sunday i thought i'd tidy up a few wires, so they couldn't be seen through the window. All i did was hide them away above the DVD drive.

Ever since then the pc would freeze up ramdomly or when i opened or closed the front door.
The mouse cursor didn't move and the keyboard stopped working too. The only option i had was to hit the reset button.

So i opened it up and moved the wires around and checked all the connectors were fitted correctly and that everything was as it should be, and it was.

Then i turned the power back on and its perfectly fine! the door can be opened and closed all i like and its solid as a rock.

So i ask you, what could it have been? Interference? Dodgy connection?
If anyone knows or has any idea what it may have been, let me know because i am unsure and curious! :)

Electro magnetic pulse? Can you elaborate?

Or is that just your sense of humour again mucks!? :D

ah, now you mention it ... I think it may be PMT :D

Definitely Interference of some sort ... :thumb:

* better quite before the girls see this *

LOL! :D

Fair enough, from the DVD drive, PSU maybe?

I was just wondering, never herd of it before is all. :)

Its all working now so i am happy, and thats the main thing. :thumb:

I got to put in my new UV reactive cables and UV Cathodes this weekend so it might happen again!

:)

You just got a loose connection is all.

One of them wires, somewhere, ain't soundly in it's molex connector.

Whilst it's working, and it looks neat, don't worry about it.

If it happens again, investigate.

To be honest V_R I don't really know ... you'll have to tell us ... I've never had any problems with any cables.

I think it was just a bit of RSI ... :D
