Norman,

In addition to what Jupiter says we (Microsoft full time employee) are
actually supposed to use MSFT after our display names as this is the
'correct' abbreviation for our company name as it is our identifier on the
NASDAQ stock market.

Hi Mike

Some use [MS] - OTOH, some don't use an acronym of any kind - for 'fear of reprisals' perhaps <VBG>

Hi Joan

Me, hide, never. I haven't accessed/posted to any of the ME NGs for a couple of weeks. Try the xp.general NG - that will keep you busy :-))

Hi Norm,

I'm not sure what MS means after people's names other than "Microsoft" as in
"Microsoft MVP."

MVP stands for "Most Valuable Professional" which is an award given yearly
by Microsoft, recognizing peer-to-peer support, mostly in online forums. For
more about the MVP program you can read

*lol* No thanks looked in there when I first had XP, to many for me to keep
up with <g> I'll stick to basics and newuser. I'm in XP all the time now,
resized my partitions yesterday to reduce ME and increase XP, I'm doing good

...and about time too... <VBG> All the best with XP. XP can be a b* at times, but it is the most stable OS I have used.

Cheers.
