Thanks, seems like DLA is just a special format for certain DVD drive. Do I
need to do this format before I can use a DVD+RW? Does LG DVD drive need
this format?THanks.

Not quite. DLA is a standard for using CD-RWs as removable disk drives. Once a
CD is formatted as DLA, a DLA-compatible system (hardware and software) is
required to read or write to it.

Thanks for sharing the info...but I wud like to clear a query bout CD
drive lens...if I store my files over CD Drive will not CD lens be
affected or worn-out fast...as then number of access made to it be
increased many times.

Hello,

Drive Letter Access (DLA) is a utility that gives you the ability to copy
files directly to recordable CD and DVD discs. Using DLA, you can
drag-and-drop files to a disc and make the disc compatible with almost any
Windows computer.

As to the LG DVD drive I suggest you consult LG company for further
assistance. You may refer to the following information.
