Hello I feel really stupid, my daughter needs powerpoint for a school project, I have WinXP, and I can't find it. I also went and cleaned house on my system and I am afraid I might have got rid of it. Is there a download I can get that won't cost me anything and take over my system.

PowerPoint is not part of the Windows XP Operating System. It is part of
the Microsoft Office product suite. You can also purchase it seperately.
Check it out here:

If you don't have Microsoft Office, you probably never had PowerPoint. Ppt
doesn't come with Win XP, so quit beating yourself up, OK?

But just in case, search your hard drive for POWERPNT.EXE. That's the
executable file, and Ppt should run if that file is there. If that file
isn't there...you'll have to get Ppt somewhere else, because you cannot
download it.

However, you could try OpenOffice, which is free but for the download time.
Try http://www.openoffice.org/ The presentation package in there should do
enough for most school projects. As for taking over your system, it's
probably less likely with OpenOffice than with MSOffice. :~)
