Hi,

I bought an HP 5150 Deskjet printer off of ebay. After I bid on it, I read
that it doesn't come with a USB cable to hook it to the computer. Does anyone
know exactly what cable I need to buy? A part number or description?

I don't actually have the printer yet. I am still waiting for it to arrive,
but I would like to pick up the cable while I wait. Is it just a standard sort
of USB cable that has a square-ish end? (not the USB end, the other end) The
sort of cable that is used to plug in a USB hub? If so, then I think I am
familiar with it and have seen them at Walmart.

Thanks,
Karen

Karen: I think you may need a cable to fit on the parallel port on the
back of your computer. All the printers I own have either a USB port or a
paralell port. Reid

Its what is known as a "A-B" cable. The end that plugs into the computer
or hub is Thin and flat and the printer end is narrower and square Very
Much a std cable

Karen: Disregard my previous message. I didn't read enough of your
message the first time. If your printer has a USB port , and your computer
does, then you need a USB cable. I paid $10. for one yesterday...Reid
