Trying to find what options I have.
Currently have a AMD Athlon XP2700 333FSB 256Cache

Couldn't find anything obvious on their site about what options I have for
upgrade,
without getting a new motherboad just yet.

The Manual says FSB333 and DDR400 are the limits for CPU and
memory respectively.

If you go to the CPU support page, the XP 3000+ FSB333 would be
the top of the line.

The change from a 2700+ to a 3000+ would be virtually invisible,
and overclocking your current processor would do as much for you
as anything else. The difference between those processors, is the
size of the cache offered. The 3000+ FSB333 has a 512KB cache.

So, crank the FSB by 10% and get your "upgrade" that way.

It was all prompted by overheating after a power cut,
but I've added a chassis fan, cleaned the cpu heatsink
and that seems to have done the trick.

I think UPS will come before a mobo/cpu upgrade then.
Thank you for the assistance.
