Ok, so I have been having this problem with system restore erasing all of the
restore points on every boot up. With the help of some people on here, I
found the error that boldly states, "yep, I erased the restore points," and
they are as follows:
The first:
Volsnap event id 25:
The shadow copies of volume C: were deleted because the shadow copy storage
could not grow in time. Consider reducing the IO load on the system or
choose a shadow copy storage volume that is not being shadow copied.
And the second:
Volsnap event id 27:
The shadow copies of volume C: were aborted during detection because a
critical control file could not be opened.
How do I fix these errors? I have found KB articles for windows server
2003, but the registry modification that they suggedted doesn't work for me.
