What can I do to get my mouse from sticking?

Every time I roll my mouse, it sticks and I can't get it to go to a certain
place. It is like it just does not want to roll. Does anybody have any
suggestions to help me solve this problem with my mouse? Thanks, Jan

If it's a ball mouse, slide the cover off the mouse, take the ball out
and clean the ball. I guess you could try cleaning the contacts with
a cue-tip and a tiny bit of running alchohol.

Get a nice optical mouse with a nice optical mousepad like one from
FUNC.

I have had this problem ever since I updated my Vidio Card almost a
month ago.
It seems that I researched for a month before I found something that would
work.
Please try this. Right Click on your desktop and than click on
Properties. In Properties, click on Settings and click on Advanced. In
Advanced click on Trouble Shoot. You will see a bar, move the peg back one
space to the left. Close all Property windows and go to the Control Panel.
Click on the Mouse and go to Pointer Options. Go to Visibility and click on
all three boxes. Close and Reboot and your mouse shouldn't hang up. I'm not
use to the mouse trail and circles when you use the Control key but, my mouse
works and that is what matters to me. IMHO

I want to thank you all for the suggestions. I really appreciated your
responses. They worked. My mouse is wireless and it is only six months old. I
took the ball out and cleaned inside and it was dirty. That's why the mouse
would not scroll right. It is working properly now, so thanks again for all
the suggestions.
