What are your views on Online services?

Hi for my ICT A level I have to discuss online services and was hoping to
find other people's opinions on it as a whole? What are the good effects and
the bad effects?
 
My view is that this is a .net programming forum and this post is
off-topic. And irrelevant especially given the extremely vague
definition of "online services"; but please don't clarify ;-p
