Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find
information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found:

Search using Google!
http://www.google.com/
(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

So...

Which of these do you have?

- ZoneAlarm
- Nintendo 64 emulator
- Retrospect Backup
- Gear CD Suite
- Darkbot

Any of those ring a bell?

I don't know if there are more, but here are the most obvious:

REALbasic Database %ProgramFiles%\REALbasic\REALbasic 5.5.EXE %1
REALbasic Database
%ProgramFiles%\REAL Software\REALbasic\REALbasic 5.5.EXE %1 REALbasic
Database
%ProgramFiles%\REAL Software\REALbasic 2006r2\REALbasic 2006.exe rbdfile
%ProgramFiles%\DVD-RB\Rebuilder.exe rbdfile
%ProgramFiles%\DVD-RB PRO\Rebuilder.exe

Are you saying you found these on Google? No you are not, because they
aren't there. You are saying you assumed I didn't check.

I have Zone Alarm.

Actually they are rootkit files, invisible to API's. That makes me very
nervous, given that such files are often installed by malware.

I'm saying I found what to ask by utilizing Google - yes. Am I saying you
may not know how to utilize Google to get what you might need? Sure. You
could say I am saying that too.

You see - I searched for the exact file names - but soon realized that was
futile. However - the filename contains two parts - the actual given name
and a file extension. You gave both parts. So I proceded to figure out
what the file extension you had given could represent (utilizing Google.)

That's where I came up with the suspect list of things to

The next step is quite simple.

Which might lead to this...

There is a possibility these files are related to your ZoneAlarm
installation/usage. It could be many other things however - but my
intention was to help you figure that out, not necessarily hand you an
answer...

- Where were/are these files located?
- Have you attempted to rename/move/delete them?
- If so - what happened?
- During...
- Right after...
- After a reboot...
