The only "shell" folder I have is ShellNew and it seems to hold files that
help various applications integrate with the OS, in my case, they are

If you are referring to "Shell Folders" registry key, read:
Windows XP users have special folders in their user profiles, such as the My
Documents, My Pictures, and Favorites folders. The path for these folders
are stored in the "Shell Folders" registry key below:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\U ser Shell Folders
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\S hell Folders
