I noticed today that next to my calendar icon in my Outlook 2002
folder list (left side of the screen), there is a set of parentheses
with the number 2 between them -- "(2)". It's in bold. What does
this mean? I know that it means unread messages for e-mail, but what
does it mean for a calendar?

unread calendar items - you can right click on it and mark all as read or
use advanced find to search for unread items before marking them as read.

I tried searching for these under Advanced Find, search for only items
that are unread, but nothing came up. I know what an unread e-mail
is, but what's an unread calendar item?

Set your criteria to be "any kind of Outlook item" and search again for
unread items.

Milly,
Thanks. That did the trick. Two e-mails I sent somehow ended up in
the Calendar. How did this happen?
