I'm not an expert on these things Alf - but 71C seems OK to me, just nicely warmed up.

Anything that runs and does not 'crash' is running fine. :D

GPU's always run hot with stock coolers, but the "dangerously overheating temp" on a 6800GT is 120c :/ . Seems abit high for me. My 6800GT idles at 60c and under load reachs 72c. Which isnt a real big increase really. I have fitted a VGA silencer on mine though, and im telling ya what, its flamming massive and heavy! Makes the standard 9800pro VGA silencer look like a northbridge fan :|. But its whisper quiet ;).

That seems a perfectly acceptable temp for a performance graphics card. You have no need to be worried - if it does concern you slightly though, you could always try water cooling it!

Its still a little cool down here in N.M, im kinda worried what the temps might be in the Summer...

Buy a air conditioner for behind the comp :-X lol. my old systems cpu 48c case temp 34c this is all stock no case fans or nothing lol ive got it to like 80c ahhahaha hunk of crap Blooop!

I probly by a coolermasters case that has a 80mm fan blowing onto my Video card....
80!? isnt that the temp when things start frying ?

Prob this comp im on is junk.... Made by compaq cost me about 1,500.00 us the model is 5330us it was good when it came out but ive put new stuff in there making it hot like audigy 2zs radeon 9200 <--- once good lol but my new comp is gonna fly so i dont care what this thing does it was freezing for the longest time when i played games found out it was mt cpu fan had dust in there which was over heating when i played 3d games. someone had the same problem so thats how i found out that problem on a forum. But for now all seems well temps dont get that high anymore it got to 80c i dont know why maybe bad airflow :-X but its stable now and i through a thermaltake fan in there to exhaust more heat out.
The specs are ~~
intel p4 1.7ghz
radeon 9200 agp 4x/8x
audigy 2 zs
80gig hd hitachi
512ram 133mhz sdram
and some compaq mobo dunno what kind

So i hope new comp will be nice what do u think?!?!

Looks good, I like the Audigy 2 ZS Game Edition cept i dont remeber Halo looking so ugly :p Also with Halo theres a little bug that kicks you out of the game for no reason, i think theres a patch for it somewere.

Hmmm really lol why would halo looks so ugly (crappy vid card maybbbbbeee) lol i dont play the games to be honest not untill i get new computer this one just sucks lol its hard to play STARCRAFT so if its hard to play with this ocmp thennnn lets seee no halo here lol but ill check that patch out.. Then ill PLAY some Counter-strike and wooop some @$$. Well thanks for the pointer how do you like the 6800 ultra? its better then the 6600gts in sli right?

Dont Got a Ultra, got a Geforce 6800 GT just OCed it to ultra Speeds :D
I Think 2 6600s in SLI will beat out my card!
As for Halo i though it didnt look as good as it used to. with the gamer edition you get like 5 free full games!

yea i noticed the games i work like 6 days a week so no time to be honest sry for the confusion of ultra i just forgot what u had :-P but yea the slis gonnnnna be nice thats when im gonna 3dmark it to see my friend thats building it for me (with a lil of my help) will prob dl it fo rme he has cable so well see then ill let you know how it is.

Im a N()()B but im thinking about ocin also Hopefully to bring out the speed you know but with better cooling I have 7 case fans and 2 on PS its like a jet engine in there lol

I wont be the first to tell you, if you dont know what your doin then your taking a big risk so be careful. and cooling is a must! im think about a water cooling for the summer cause i dont really like the temps that i have now even though its supposed to be the norm.

Oh yea i know ive been told and told but before i even think about it im gonna research and research over and over again. ill read reviews of people with the same product and how they did it if i dont find anyhting and im not gonna guess on doing it so i wount you know this stuff is expensive im not gonna tare it up lol thats not my goal illprob not do it but i would like to know for future advances in games. i would like to consider that.

How does water cooling work by the way ive heard of it but im not too familiar of how it cools. If you have some info let me know thx.

There a Copper heatsink on the CPU and water runs through it and takes the heat away from it and that warm water gets taken to a bigger fan cooled heatsink which then circles around back the the CPU, it a continous cycle. Check out Flops review on a cheap water cooling system (evercool water system) on the upper left in articles :)

alright i read it but his review tell me if im wrong that it was 5c hotter? kinda pointless huh. But im guessing you was prob getting me to understand the idea of it But yea thats a good idea but the onlything i would be afraid ofis the leaking issue. I dont want water on my Mobo or other expensive items!!!!!
