what are .ADM file for

Excactly what are .ADM files for i know there templates and iv'e read how to
set it up,but what are they. I mean if there is one in office like
access.adm is that a policy for access or what im not getting this. thanks
 
They are policy template files - so yes access.adm is a template for MS
Access. Microsoft supplies a bunch of ADM files with the Office XP Resource
Kit, you then import these into a GPO and can then implement policy settings
for Office applications for that GPO.
