I have windows Xp Preloaded on an E-machine. I made a movie with pics and
downloaded music with the windows movie maker, I have tried to burn to cd and
dvd and no matter what I do it wont play anything in any dvd player I have.
What am I doing wrong, why cant I watch my movie on disc?

Discs burned by Movie Maker have the movies on them in WMV format, and
today's DVD players don't support playing that file type.

You need to use other CD creation software, starting with whatever was
included with your computer.

You can't play movies burned directly to DVD with MM in a DVD player.
If you want to play them in a DVD player then you need to create your clips
and save them to your HDD in the WMV format and then you can use them within
a DVD authoring program such as Roxio or Ulead and create your DVD. This new
DVD will play in a DVD player.
