Only that it's a PITA to refill the 45. Unlike most other ink carts,
this one (and a few other HP black carts) uses vacuum. You need to
thrn the ink cart so the nozzle is facing up. Then remove the little
black sticker and puch in the little metal ball to access the ink
chamber and refill them. To reseal it, you need a new steel ball the
right size, squeeze the tank while you push the new ball in to seal in
and build vacuum.

There are tool that refull the 45 by forcing ink through the nozzle
but I haven't tried that so I don't know how well they work.

you have to excuse me but i'm italian and i don't speak english very
well.....
what do you mean for PITA?!?!?!?

They seem to work well. I have been using one like this for 5 years....

A black cart seems to last about 2 years before the heads wear out and it
stops printing or becomes "scratchy".

The colour cart I fill using a needle in the conventional manner.

I'll have to check that out, it has to be easier than popping the ball
out, refilling it, squeezing the cart, and plugging a new ball in.

That's impressive. I usually get 6 or 7 refills before the cart start
having problem. If I use the trick mentioned on internet to unclog
the nozzles, I could squeeze a few more uses before the cart becomes
garbage. (I turn them in at Office Depot for free ream of paper ^_^)

Seems to be the only way anyway. Since it's sponge based, refilling's
very easy on these carts. In fact I had considered a Continuous Feed
System (like here: http://www.nomorecarts.com/) for the HP color cart.
