Your motherboard may have two SATA ports, but I'd imagine that it doesn't
have Win 98 SATA drivers...

I was thinking of trying Mandrake Linux on this machine someday.Sure. I think the drive will work fine with Linux, also...and with
DOS.

I'll look into that.The probably are just dropping support for win98. If your Mobo has win98
drivers for sata, it should work.
