for some reason, windows sees it as a removabled hard drive. it shows
up in the system tray in "Safely Remove Hardware"

how do i make it go away

Its not an issue. It shows up because its a "raid property" for lack of
better understanding on raid(something to do with scsi drives). And like the
articles state, you can try and hide it. You can also goto start_run_type in
"msconfig" and shut it off there, though I wouldn't try it myself unless
your ready for a reformat. Might decrease performance or worse.
