Western Digital HD as a slave drive

I reintialized my main drive and set it up with Windows XP again. I had a
Western Digital HD (WD800JB) set up as a slave drive for back up purposes and
now I can see it under installed devices but not under "my computer". I can't
seem to access it. Can anyone help?

see if you can assign a drive letter to it in disk management
 
Make sure that BIOS changes have not been made. If you do not see it when the
system boots then the BIOS is not seeing it either. If you disconnected your
drive for any reason, try resetting the connections on the mobo and the
drive. I have had a similar situation with connections in the past.
