Do they worth the money?

I noticed that 500G hard disks of Seagate & Hitachi got 16M cache only...

Depends on what you want.

HDD-integrated cache/buffer is pretty unimportant today, unless you
are running DOS. In fact, less is better, as it decreases the risk
of switching off power before the HDD has flushed its buffer to
surface. It also decreases the data corruption risk on power loss.

I avoid WDs currently, until they sort out the problem of blackening of the pcbs.

You cant generally pick the difference in a proper double blind trial.

I think write-caching could be disabled. Not 100% sure about WD though.

Its a Track buffer so will depend on how the data is spread over the
hard disk, the big bug with hard drives is the seek time..

So 32M & 64M only increased the bet ...
