Let's say I have a website created with FrontPage, and it was
published to a URL of the form
www.webhost.com/username/
If I try to open this (as a web) with FP, I enter
http://www.webhost.com/username/
But the open fails, suggesting that I look at wecerr.txt
There I find a 404 not found page from the www.webhost.com ISP.
The rest of this 404 page indicates that the particular page
requested exists not. So FP has gone to the correct remote
server, but has requested the wrong account/page.
What exactly does FP try to do when you open a web via http?
I don't have a local server where I could see what FP is
trying to do.
P.S. the page is there. It also works if you try
www.webhost.com/~username
